I've been wanting to draw steampunk for quite a while & I finally got the chance to do it! Woo Hoo! This is Trixie Covington, a proud operative of Sargas Prime. Sargas Prime being an organization of excellent repute charged with the mission of protecting the world of Britannia from extra-planar beings of hostile intent.
I'd like to give thanks to =inspyretash-stock & =cloaks for the awesome textures & to *magikstock for the wonderfully groovy stock image! I LOVE D.A.! (The best site in the frackin' universe!!) Coreldraw 13 was my tool of choice for the illustration of course.
Wow, this is a terrific take on the original stock; with the flowy breezy "mucha" styled hair and the added gears below her neck She definitely looks like an adventurous type!
Woo Hoo! I'm very glad that you like it - that makes me happy. I'm SO new to the whole Steampunk genre that I can only hope that I'm approximating the coolness that is... the Punk. lol That's great too that you got an Art Nouveau feel off of it - I try to incorporate that in all my drawings.
"le sigh" lol - that's really funny 'cuz I say stuff like that all the time. Le Sob... le weep... le Boo Hoo. Right on! Thanks SO much for the compliments.

Probably not the girl your mother warned you about. And ain't that just a damned shame?
lol! Well I find the genre very cool! It's like, "Here's the future as we remember it." I gave a gift to a friend of mine a few months back that was all about an alternate universe where everything was steam-powered. I found a bunch of pics here & on the internet like a steam-powered cell phone, laptops, etc. I was very happy & had created this whole world around the idea. (That's where Sargas Prime & Trixie Covington came from.)
I've even posted a pic of Trixie as a blueprint so you can see her uniform and the "other" functions it has. 'Cuz she's a secret agent and all that. It was Fillet McSweet!

Build a man a fire, he'll be warm for a night. But set a man on fire, he'll be warm for the rest of his life. Wait... thats not right...
